Dr AJ Ray-Chaudhuri

Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital. Specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics, Endodontics, and Prosthodontics.
AJ graduated from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ University in 2003. He then worked as a general dentist for 2 years before becoming a hospital dentist to further his dental knowledge and experience. He worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillo-facial surgery, Prosthetics, Oral Medicine and Periodontology, Conscious Sedation, and Restorative Dentistry. During this training, he completed his diplomas of Membership at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

AJ specializes in treating patients requiring complex and advanced restorative treatment including surgical placement and restoration with dental implants. He is registered with The General Dental Council (Registration No. 82588) as a specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontics, and Endodontics and has recently been awarded his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. AJ also read law at Cardiff University and has completed his Masters’s degree and embarked upon 5 years of formal Consultant training at King’s College and St George’s Hospitals in London. He obtained experience in providing complex root canal treatments, gum surgery, crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants.

During his training, he has taught dentists and allied health professionals locally, regionally, and nationally. AJ has also published extensively in scientific journals on a variety of topics related to his specialty and has conducted research that has been published in an international journal. In addition to this, he was awarded an Honorary Lectureship at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and examines for the MJDF examination. He has also completed a post-graduate certificate in teaching and is an Associate of the Higher Education Authority.
